Kam Ghaffarian is a visionary entrepreneur dedicated to advancing humanity and expanding the frontiers of knowledge. He is the co-founder and Executive Chairman of several pioneering companies at the forefront of energy and space exploration, including X-energy, focused on next-generation nuclear reactors; Axiom Space, developing the world’s first commercial space station; and Intuitive Machines, a leader in technologies supporting robotic and human exploration of the Moon and beyond. Through Intuitive Machines, he has also expanded into advanced satellite manufacturing with the acquisition of Lanteris Space Systems, formerly part of Maxar Technologies. He also founded Quantum Space, aimed at enabling the next era of space infrastructure.
Dr. Ghaffarian began his entrepreneurial career in 1994 with the founding of Stinger Ghaffarian Technologies, Inc. He holds a B.S. in Computer Science, a B.S. in Electronics Engineering, a M.Sc. in Information Management, as well as doctorates in Management Information Systems and Philosophy of Technology. A committed philanthropist, he actively supports education and STEM initiatives, with a long-term vision focused on humanity’s future in space and the pursuit of interstellar exploration.
