Professor of Applied Physics at Universidad de La Laguna (Tenerife, Canary Islands, Spain), specializing in luminescent materials with rare earth elements and nanotechnology applications for renewable energies. Principal Investigator of the "MAGEC-REEsearch" Project, exploring rare earth resources in the Canary Islands and developing advanced photonic applications. He has published 100 scientific papers, holds three industrial patents, and leads the SHIFT conference series on light applications in renewable energy and biomedicine. He also hosts the weekly science dissemination program "Pura Ciencia" and organizes scientific culture events.
