Carmen Acosta, a coloratura soprano from Santa Cruz de Tenerife, graduated in clarinet from the Conservatorio Superior de Música and later perfected her singing in London and Milan. She regularly performs in Spanish and German opera theatres, including the Teatro de La Zarzuela in Madrid and the Deutsche Oper Berlin, taking on major bel canto roles such as Lucia in "Lucia di Lammermoor" and the Queen of the Night in "The Magic Flute." Acosta also excels in concert performances, having sung works like Haydn's "The Creation" and Orff's "Carmina Burana" with renowned orchestras. She has recorded for labels such as Bongiovanni and Hänsler Classic and has been invited to prestigious events, including the 150th Anniversary Gala of the Teatro de la Zarzuela in Madrid.
