The Flautopía Duo is composed of Miriam Ridruejo (flute) and Lola Barroso (piano), both performers, composers, and teachers. Formed out of their shared interest in promoting the extensive repertoire for their instruments from the Baroque period to contemporary times, they have a special fondness for 19th and 20th-century scores, particularly Impressionism and Post-Impressionism. They have performed in iconic venues such as the Euskalduna Palace Auditorium in Bilbao, the Planetariums of Pamplona and Madrid, and the Main Hall of the Ateneo de Madrid.
Miriam Ridruejo, completed the professional degree in transverse flute at the Conservatory of Bilbao, she has studied with renowned teachers and performed extensively across Europe. Lola Barroso, a pianist, clarinetist, and musical director, has directed and performed in numerous musicals and composed soundtracks for silent films. Their musical versatility and captivating stage presence make them a distinguished duo in the Canary and Madrid music scenes
