José Luis Oltra holds a degree in Physics and a master's in Advanced Physics with a specialization in theoretical physics from the University of Valencia. He is dedicated to science communication, primarily on social media, under the name Cuarentaydos. He is the author of children's and young adult science books, including "We Are Not the Center of the Universe" published by Montena and "A Journey Through the Universe" published by Anaya. He has collaborated with the digital section of the magazine Muy Interesante, where he wrote more than 350 science articles, and has directed the "Science x the Morning" segment on the Morning Yet program on Radio Esport Valencia, the "Science with Patience" segment on À Punt Radio, as well as the "Science for Everyone" segment on the En Directe program on À Punt television.
