Starmus La Palma
Javier Laso was born in Freiburg, Switzerland, in 1975. He studied piano at the COSCYL in Salamanca, receiving honours at all levels, and pursued postgraduate studies at the Franz Liszt Academy in Budapest. He has won several awards, including first prize in the "Pedro Espinosa" Piano Competition. Since 2004, he has been a piano professor at the Conservatory of Music of the Canary Islands, balancing teaching with a prolific concert career. His recordings have been highly praised, with a recent nomination for the "Preis der Deutschen Schallplattenkritik" for his album dedicated to Schubert and Schumann.
