STARMUS WILL BRING STARS CLOSER THIS SEPTEMBER AT THE STAR PARTY IN GARNI TEMPLE

As a traditional component of all Starmus editions, “Star Party” will take place in the framework of StramusVI festival provides an opportunity to explore stars and get closer to them.

During this closed event the participants will stargaze with specially dedicated 30 telescopes, enjoy the music and the cocktail while  communicating with the worlds brightest minds in astrophysics, astronomy, Nobel Laureates, entrepreneurs engaged in Space technologies, world renowned artists and those who live to get amazed with the universe and stars. The speakers of STARMUS VI will be special guests of the STAR PARTY.

The event will take place on the territory of Garni Pagan Temple, as a tribute to the astronomy heritage sustained in the Kotayk region of Armenia and as a place where there is a very clear sky to stargaze and get closer to stars.

The progressive rock band NO SOUND and SEBU (CAPITAL CITIES) will be the authors of the atmospheric music around the temple and stargazing guests.

The event will take place on 8th of September, 2022 from 10pm to 2am. And the tickets will be sold at the STARMUS VI official web page (starmus.com/Armenia) and through Tomsarkgh.am. 

Star party is a gathering of amateur astronomers, artists and music stars with the purpose of observing objects and events in the sky. There are lists of stargazing annual events that attract lots of visitors and the tickets are always sold out and booked in advance.

STARMUS star party is a one-night event, but larger events can last a week or longer and attract hundreds or even thousands of participants. Many astronomy clubs have monthly star parties during the warmer months. Large regional star parties are held annually and are an important part of amateur astronomy since 1950s.
